<description>This year, Sundance Channel enters the original scripted drama market with a splash (literally) with TOP OF THE LAKE. Written and directed by Academy Award winner Jane Campion, and starring Elisabeth Moss, Holly Hunter and Peter Mullan, TOTL is a gripping crime drama that sticks with you weeks after you've watched it. It's a thrill to watch and to have worked on.

"Sundance on Set: Top of the Lake" - Featurette (4:00)

This was one of the largest campaigns the Sundance Channel On-Air team has thus far undertaken, so my colleague Jim McMahon and I split up the work. He produced the beautifully lyrical image and launch promos for the series while I focused on short-form programming and episodics.

<description>Looking for new ways to create sponsorship opportunities on air, I developed SUNrated Extra, a sales vehicle in which Sundance Channel "rates" three features of a product or service in a 30-second promo format. Instead of using point values or star ratings, SUNrated Extra turns a product's key selling points into ratings acronyms that sing the product's praises in Sundance Channel's unique voice. The result is Sundance Channel's version of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval; viewers trust the Sundance Channel brand, and SUNrated Extra extends that trust to the featured product.

SUNrated Extra incorporates a brand's existing video assets -- commercials, product demonstrations, or movie trailers, for example -- re-purposing the creative to maximize their original spend.

Here are the prototype I originally created to sell my boss and our ad sales team on the concept, and the first SUNrated Extra that was sold in.

"Xbox with Kinect" - Prototype (:30)

"Trouble With The Curve" - Branded Entertainment (:30)

<description>In 2011, I ran the on-air campaign for season 2 of Sundance Channel's hit reality series, GIRLS WHO LIKE BOYS WHO LIKE BOYS. The project called for over 50 different elements to launch and sustain the 12-episode run. I oversaw both in-house editorial and external production companies for the campaign. Here are some of those pieces.

"Kristin &#38; Peter" - Cast Profile (:45)

"Gay Marriage" - Cast Profile (:45)

"201" - Episodic (:30)

I noticed Brent had a catch phrase, and it was ripe for the promo-ing.

"Cute" - Promo (:15)

"GirlsFest" - Promo (:30)

<description>To celebrate the launch of GREY GOOSE® Cherry Noir, ten brand ambarssadors from around the country tell personal stories about life BEYOND THE BAR while making signature cocktails created specifically for the occasion. Working with Max Curious Productions, we scripted these videos based on the bartenders' own stories, then flew the mix masters to New York City to shoot them on 4 custom-built sets. Here are a few faves of the 20 we produced.

<description>Every journey to the Sundance Film Festival is unique, whether it is a filmmaker’s first fest or 27th. "Journey to the Festival" puts you inside that experience with two directors from the time they learn their films have been accepted through their movie premieres. Pairing interview and verité footage in a lively, unscripted format, the result is a candid look inside two very memorable nights.

<description>For Sundance Channel's Christmas Day marathon of THE PRINCESS BRIDE, we wanted to celebrate the film's high quotability quotient with a series of spots. Cast primarily with strangers, plus a few dead ringers, and shot on the holiday decked streets of midtown Manhattan, this campaign was a merry &#38; bright way to ring out 2012.

Billboards (11 x :05)
We created 11 custom billboards to air during the marathon. Each billboard aired once. Once. It's possible we went a little overboard, but with material this rich, it's easy to get carried away.
